Woolacombe

The resort of Woolacombe is considered by many, to have one of the finest beaches in Britain, offering surfing, an unrivalled expanse of sand for bathing and rock pools waiting for young and old to explore.
A range of shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants, amusements, fishing, golf and other leisure facilities can also be found in the area. North Devon has a natural beauty and the National Trust maintains miles of coastal footpaths around Woolacombe and Mortehoe which provide walks with spectacular views.
Nearby, Ilfracombe offers a working harbour with boat trips, fishing, cafes and shopping. Barnstaple is about 20 minutes away and its ‘Pannier Market’ offers local produce, antiques, bric a brac and traditional crafts. Further afield, but easily accessible by car, is the beauty of Exmoor with its interesting history, quaint cottages, country walks, wild ponies and deer.
